I’m a PhD candidate in the Department of Linguistics at Stony Brook University (entered 2022), co-advised by Dr. Thomas Graf and Dr. Jeff Heinz. My primary research interests are computational learning theory and computational syntax, with a focus on developing formal learning algorithms which are relevant for natural language.
Prior to Stony Brook, I received a B.A. in Computer Science from Smith College in 2019. After graduating, I worked for three years as a software engineer at Google, primarily building data-related tools and features for natural language understanding tasks.
Outside of Linguistics, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, sailing, and rock climbing.
